RIIK Collective is the artistic production branch of RIIKBERLIN. It creates visibility and support structures for independent artists through filmmaking, creative producing, exhibitions, digital publishing, and collaborative projects. By opening space for production, presentation, and exchange, it enables artistic work to grow within an intercultural and interdisciplinary environment.

Rhizomatic Connections
Rhizome Institute for Intercultural Communication (RIIKBERLIN) is an intercultural institute based in Berlin that develops social, educational, and artistic structures to expand participation, create visibility, and build meaningful connections across different communities. Through certification programs, socially engaged initiatives, film production, publishing, and exhibitions, RIIKBERLIN creates accessible pathways into collective and artistic life.
Our work reflects a rhizomatic approach: decentralised, interdisciplinary, and organically interconnected. We believe in learning that transcends borders, art that challenges norms, and projects that activate communities.

Our Culture & Art Practices
RIIK Collective section is dedicated to creating space for independent creation and building platforms that bring art and culture into public dialogue. Through creative producing, exhibition practices, and intercultural initiatives, it supports visibility and engagement for independent and underrepresented artists. Our motto, which is prioritized in achieving this, is intercultural communication.
Support for Independent Filmmakers: RIIK Creative Producing
RIIK Creative Production develops and supports independent film projects that promote intercultural dialogue, creative exchange, and diverse perspectives. We empower filmmakers through production support, consulting, and professional networks.
Support for Independent Artists: RIIK Exhibition
RIIK offers exhibition spaces and curatorial platforms for independent artists without interfering in their creative process. Focusing solely on the act of presentation, we contribute to the public visibility of art through independent means.
Support for Independent Intercultural Voices: RIIKMAG
RIIKMag is an independent art magazine published under RIIKBERLIN, a non-profit intercultural association based in Berlin.
We are dedicated to exploring the spaces in between — between disciplines, languages, identities, and states of being.
We are currently inviting independent artists from all mediums — visual arts, photography, film, writing, sound, performance, and interdisciplinary practices — to contribute to our upcoming issues.
FromAfar
From Afar is the inaugural issue of RIIKMag, currently in development. Bringing together artists, writers, photographers, and cultural practitioners, the project explores how distance shapes identity, memory, belonging, and human connection across cultures and communities.

Certificate Programs
Our certificate programs, developed in collaboration with the Steinbeis School of Sustainable Innovation and Transformation, strengthen RIIKBERLIN’s approach to intercultural learning, professional development, and social transformation. These programs offer learning formats that bring academic knowledge into real-world participation and support individuals and institutions in engaging with transformation processes in a more conscious, practical, and sustainable way.
