Rhizomatic Connections
RIIK – Rhizome Institute for Intercultural Communication is an independent Berlin-based initiative connecting education, art, and project development under one experimental roof. Rooted in cultural dialogue and creative expression, we design creative courses, coordinate international projects, and support independent voices.
Our work reflects a rhizomatic approach: decentralised, interdisciplinary, and organically interconnected. We believe in learning that transcends borders, art that challenges norms, and projects that activate communities.

Support for Independent Filmmakers: RIIK Creative Producing
RIIK supports independent filmmakers in bringing their projects to life through production guidance, consulting, and network support. It contributes to the creative process by providing advice, visibility, and structural backing. For RIIK, independent cinema is not merely a genre, but a vessel for freedom of expression and innovative storytelling. That is why we recognise the importance and necessity of supporting this field.
Support for Independent Artists: RIIK Exhibition
RIIK offers exhibition spaces and curatorial platforms for independent artists without interfering in their creative process. Focusing solely on the act of presentation, we contribute to the public visibility of art through independent means.
Support for Independent Cultural Voices: RIIKMAG
RIIKMag is an independent art magazine published under RIIKBERLIN e.V., a non-profit intercultural association based in Berlin.
We are dedicated to exploring the spaces in between — between disciplines, languages, identities, and states of being.
We are currently inviting independent artists from all mediums — visual arts, photography, film, writing, sound, performance, and interdisciplinary practices — to contribute to our upcoming issues.
